What water temperature is suitable for herbal tea?

For most aromatic herbal infusions, water near boiling (95°C) is ideal. If you use more delicate leaves, such as linden or chamomile, you can let the water cool for 30 seconds after boiling. A kitchen thermometer can help you be precise, but experience will also tell you when the water is "quietly boiling."

How long should I steep chicory?

Roasted chicory needs more time to release its earthy and sweet flavors. We recommend steeping for 5 to 7 minutes, covering the cup to retain heat. If you prefer a stronger taste, you can extend it by another 2 minutes, but be careful not to make it bitter.

What type of cup is best for enjoying a hot beverage?

A thick-walled ceramic cup retains heat longer and offers a pleasant tactile sensation. If you like to see the color of the infusion, a thin glass cup is an inspired choice. What matters is that you like its texture and weight – your favorite cup becomes part of the ritual.

Can I combine several aromatic plants in a single infusion?

Yes, you can create your own blends. For example, linden and chamomile combine beautifully, offering a sweet and a mild note. Chicory can be combined with a pinch of cinnamon or a slice of dried orange. Start with small amounts and adjust to taste – every morning can be a new discovery.

How can I tell if the water is too hot for green tea?

If the green tea leaves turn brown or the drink becomes bitter and astringent, the water was too hot. Ideally, let the water cool for about 2 minutes after boiling, until it reaches around 75°C. A simple trick: pour the water into a cold cup and wait 30 seconds before adding the leaves.
